Polish Contractor Praises Bobcat Excavators

Bobcat compact excavators have been instrumental in the success of the diversified Polish construction company, Wrocław-based "Michał", according to company owner, Wojciech Drzyzga. "Michał" has built an enviable reputation for excellence by combining high performing machinery and equipment such as the Bobcat excavators with the talent and dedication of Wojciech and his workforce.

He said: "I saw a Bobcat compact excavator working on a project one day in Wrocław and researched the range on the internet. I also spoke to the user and concluded that we needed a machine like this to help in work installing fences, walls etc, which had been much harder with our previous machines. I bought the first Bobcat excavator, a 319 model, from the dealer, PK Service, in 2007, a decision I don't mind taking the credit for and I will never regret!"

Wojciech subsequently bought a second Bobcat excavator, a 323 model. He has put the success of his business down to the reliability and durability of both machines and the ease of use they offer the operators. He has always depended on the professional approach of PK Service and the back-up of genuine spare parts and filters for his machines.

The Bobcat excavators have heated cabs and cushioned seats with safety belts for the operators. When digging at the front of the machine, the seat can be moved forward to enhance visibility. The company uses a choice of attachments including 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm, 40 cm and 1.20 m wide buckets to cover a range of applications from utility work to digging close to walls and a selection of augers for planting trees.

Wojciech added: "We have sometimes used the Bobcat machines for 16–18 hours a day when we have had to work on emergency projects such as flooding and we've found the capacities of the fuel tanks have been more than sufficient due to the low fuel consumption of the machines.

"We use the Bobcat machines in every part of our work: from excavation of foundations for single-family houses, drainage and for lifting and manoeuvring kerb and paving stones. For our landscaping work, the Bobcat machines meet a need for a small, flexible machine which won't damage the turf or plants. For example, we work all year round in the botanical gardens at University of Life Sciences in Wrocław. We maintain passages, replant trees, level slopes, clean drainage canals and many other tasks in the upkeep of the gardens."

In 2012, Bobcat celebrates 25 years of success in the compact excavator market. From what began as an important diversification for Bobcat as the premier manufacturer of skid-steer loaders, the last 25 years have seen the company evolve to become one of the world's leading compact excavator manufacturers and lay claim to being the global leader in compact construction equipment.

Twenty-five years on, the Bobcat compact excavator range sets the standard worldwide for performance, quality, reliability and durability. The range currently comprises 13 different models of compact excavators with operating weights from 1-8 tonne, including both conventional and zero tail swing designs.
