Case Technology Takes The Lead At Scotplant

Visitors to this year's Scotplant exhibition in April will be treated to a technological tour de force, as Case Construction Equipment displays a host of new and improved machinery on Stand 5, Avenue A. As a leader in the plant machinery market, Case is at the forefront of emissions compliance, and visitors will see a range of Tier 4 Interim solutions on display, in wheeled loaders, excavators and the company's famous backhoe loaders.

Efficient Productivity
Three of the company's most productive earthmovers will take centre stage at the show. The CX250C is the latest addition to the successful C Series crawler excavator line. Boasting cooled exhaust gas recirculation (CEGR), the C Series excavators offer a further 10% fuel efficiency gain over the B Series models, while the Case Intelligent Hydraulic System delivers 5% faster cycle times with up to 6% higher lift capacities.

The CX250C benefits from a 5% larger operator's cab, with improved visibility and a new 7" LED monitor, which provides a screen for the standard rear view camera. Internal noise levels are reduced, despite a substantial improvement in air conditioning performance, ensuring productivity throughout the working day.

Case will also display two models from its F Series wheeled loader range. The 1021F is a highly productive loader, powered by the Tier 4 Interim Case/FPT engine featuring selective catalytic reduction (SCR). Designed to provide market-leading levels of performance, the 1021F has an operating load in excess of 8 tonnes and an improved bucket design for increased penetration into a face or stockpile.

Heavy duty ZF axles incorporate an automatic locking front differential, to provide maximum traction in all conditions. Case has redesigned the loader's cooling pack to improve airflow and make regular cleaning easier. The award-winning Case joystick steering system ca be ordered as an option.

Construction King
The popular Case 580ST backhoe loader once again moves the market forwards, adopting a 3.4 litre engine with CEGR. Two transmission options are available and the machine offers a fuel saving of up to 14% compared to previous models.

T Series backhoe loaders come with Automatic Ride Control as an option on all models and customers can also specify a hydraulic backhoe slide control, reducing set-up time on site and increasing productivity. Case Pro Control pilot servo levers can also be specified on all three Case T Series backhoe loader models.

Compact Developments
Rental and utility customers will have an opportunity to see some of the latest models from the Case skid steer loader line-up and two of the firm's market-leading mini and midi excavators. The SR150 and SR200 radial lift skid steers deliver unmatched power and performance from a compact package. These latest loaders use the Case Power Stance chassis, with a 21% longer wheelbase for maximum stability and increased lifting forces.

The latest skid steers from Case benefit from a 25% larger cab, with improved visibility and enhanced comfort for the operator. Customers can choose between mechanical or electro-hydraulic control levers to suit their individual operating requirements, while options include full glazing, air conditioning and a heated air-suspended seat.

Also on show will be the CX18B and CX50B mini excavators. These conventional tailswing models boast compact dimensions with powerful performance, making them the ideal choice for a wide range of industry sectors.
