New H35Ds hydraulic hammer extends the range of powerful D-series hammers for machines weighing 1,100 – 2,400 Kg.

Caterpillar is pleased to announce the introduction of the H35Ds hydraulic hammer. The Cat H35Ds hammer includes many new components and a variety of invaluable features designed to improve productivity, and reduce the likelihood of downtime.

New Features
The H35Ds includes a number of new and improved features designed to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. These include the following:

1. Simplified Design for Reliability and Serviceability
The H35Ds hammer has been designed with focus on reliability with the ease of serviceability. The lower bushing, upper bushing and thrust ring have all been incorporated in a 3 in 1 service part which allows easy access and visibility of the entire tool guidance system for quick inspection in the field without the need to send the hammer to a specialist repair center. The check-in/check-out procedure for rental stores is simplified as all core wear components can be changed in a matter of minutes without the need for special tooling. The design of the power-cell eliminates the need for tie-rods. This single-piece design is more resistant to bending and prying forces compared to the three-piece body section design thus limiting the possibility of piston/cylinder misalignment. The hammer has a 6-piece isolation system to isolate the power cell and hammer housing for carrier protection and operator comfort against mechanical vibrations being transmitted to the carrier.

The fully enclosed housing with smooth contours to match Caterpillar machine aesthetics does not have protrusions that can catch on materials in the worksite.

2. High Performance
The performance of the H35Ds hammer sets it apart from other hammers in the
105 Kg weight range and puts it in a class of it's own. The wide oil-flow acceptance range and high operating pressure result in a high performance hammer delivering up to 2,900 blows per minute.

3. Silenced as Standard
The H35Ds hammer is silenced as standard for greater operator comfort and greater environmental protection.

4. Wider Carrier Range
The hammer has a wide oil flow range for use with 301.6 and 301.8, as well as a wide range of non-Caterpillar branded carriers.
