Case Loaders Ideal For Aggregate Applications

Case Construction Equipment is bringing new levels of productivity, fuel economy and reliability to the quarry and aggregate industries, with the introduction of the 1021F and 1121F wheeled loaders. These two machines take Case into a new class, bringing SCR and advanced cooling technology, plus a higher bucket payload, to this sector of the wheeled loader market.

The two machines benefit from a clean-sheet design, to provide class-leading performance and productivity with low ownership and operating costs. Both loaders are powered by a Tier 4 Interim 9 litre Case/FPT diesel engine. This advanced powerplant produces 320hp in the 1021F and a powerful 347hp in the 1121F.

Increased Productivity And Reliability
* Highest bucket payload
Both machines have been designed to provide market-leading levels of performance. This includes powerful lift capacities, with the 1021F offering an operating load of more than 8 tonnes. The larger 1121F has an operating load of around 9 tonnes, enough to fill a 27 tonne dump truck in three passes.

* Improved bucket design for increased penetration
Redesigned bucket profiles provide increased penetration into the pile or the face, allowing faster fill and shorter cycle times.

* Increased material retention
With a carry position roll back angle of 51 degrees on the 1121F and 48 degrees for the 1021F, the revised buckets provide increased load retention on load and carry operations. The 1021F benefits from 20% larger loader arm pins, for improved productivity. The Case Ride Control system further reduces loss of material when travelling.

Reduced Ownership Costs
The 9 litre engines use selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to meet Tier 4 Interim standards. SCR engines use less fuel than EGR engines. SCR is a reliable and well proven technology, used in Europe since 2004 in many road-going trucks. There is no requirement for a diesel particulate filter with an SCR engine, reducing ownership cost, while SCR engines also provide the highest compatibility with varying fuel qualities.

An idle-management feature further reduces fuel consumption, limiting the time that a machine can stand idle before the engine is shut down.

Case has replaced the conventional overlapping radiators with an advanced cooling pack. Each radiator forms a side of the cooling pack, allowing improved air flow through the cooling cores and making cleaning with the reversible fan more effective. This system provides the constant fluid temperatures that extends oil replacement intervals by 500 hours.

The heavy duty ZF axles incorporate an automatic locking front differential to provide maximum traction in all conditions with low maintenance cost and reduced tyre wear.

Superior Visibility And Comfort
The two Case loaders feature an unobstructed view to the edges of the bucket, with a best-in-class window area and a sloping engine canopy at the rear improving all round visibility. An optional rearview wide-angle camera provides live feed to the colour monitor in the cab for additional security and improved safety on site.

The award-winning Case joystick steering system, which is integrated into the left hand armrest, can be offered with both models for repetitive loading duties.
