Taylor Extends its Market Leading Refurbishment Service to Skips, REL and FEL Containers

In an economic climate where local authorities and commercial waste management services are looking for ways in which to extend the life of their container fleets; rather than spending money on further procurement, Taylor offers an industry leading repair and maintenance service for 4 wheeled containers. This aftercare service has now been extended to cover larger containers such as Front End Loaders, Rear End Loaders and Skips, allowing Taylor to provide a cost effective solution across the customer’s entire container fleet.

The extended Taylor repair and maintenance service for larger units is a logical progression and forms part of its plans for continued growth through new products and services. Both Rear and Front End Loader containers will be fully refurbished at the Taylor repair centre, in the West Midlands. In some cases customers can also choose to have basic maintenance work carried out on-site to reduce downtime.

A full range of services are available, including lid replacement; floor restructuring; lifting hoist repair and strengthening; repainting; and the addition of new logos. As with wheeled bins, this new service includes an inspection prior to refurbishment and subsequent work carried out as required; in the event that a unit is damaged beyond safe repair, the customer will be immediately notified. Depending on specific requirements Taylor can offer a fast turnaround service from as little as two days – some jobs can even be carried out on-site whilst the unit is still in use.

Commenting on the new service, Dave Baumanis, Taylor Aftercare Project Manager, said: “Our maintenance division has many years of experience making some of the oldest containers currently in service look and operate as if they have just come off the production line. With a great reputation for service and an increasing emphasis being placed on extending the life of all containers we decided that our expertise could also be utilised to refurbish larger containers such as FEL and RELs. We are currently responsible for the maintenance of some of the UK’s largest container fleets and our customers have reacted positively to the news that they can now enjoy the reassurance of Taylor servicing their larger units.”
