Clean Power And Advanced Hydraulics,
Building on the success of the Tier 4 Interim technology introduced in conventional C Series models during 2011, both models use innovative Isuzu diesel engines equipped with cooled exhaust gas recirculation (CEGR) and a diesel particulate diffusor (DPD). This results in reduced exhaust emissions in line with the latest regulations, and contributes to a 17.5% improvement in fuel consumption.
The short radius excavators share the same easy to use mode selection dial, providing three working modes — Auto, Heavy and Superpower. In addition there is an Auto-Power Boost function that contributes to a 7% reduction in cycle times, boosting productivity.
The latest
Class Leading Operator Comfort
The spacious ROPS/FOPS cab delivers new levels of operator comfort, with 5.5% more foot space and independent setting of seat and console positioning. Increased glazing to the front, to the right of the cab, in the cab door and to the rear, plus a new multi-function monitor that can accommodate two rear view cameras, provides exceptional visibility all round for maximum safety on site. The wiper motor for the front windscreen has also been relocated to improve visibility.
In-cab noise levels have been greatly reduced, to just 73dB(A), with external levels of 97dB(A) for the CX145C SR and 101dB(A) for the larger model making the SR machines ideal for urban working. Automatic air conditioning provides a 20% increase in performance and the cabs come with cup holders, MP3 input plugs, storage compartments and a radio mute function switch in the servo joystick.
The new multifunction colour LCD monitor provides an intuitive layout incorporating many of the control systems, greatly reducing the number of switches in the cab. Service and maintenance diagnostic functions can also be accessed through the monitor.
Proven Robust Design
For the two new short radius machines, pre-lubricated Case extended maintenance system (EMS) bushings are used as standard, extending the majority of greasing intervals to 1,000 hours. Remote greasing points and grouped filter locations provide optimum daily maintenance checks and rapid service access.
Larger access doors and non-slip plating on all upper surfaces assist technicians, while a large tool box is now included below the cab floor. Hydraulic oil change intervals are extended to 5,000 hours and both excavators have remote green drain plugs to ensure that there is no risk of environmental contamination. A revised fuel tank and cooling package completes the redesign at the rear of the machine, with separate lift up covers for the engine and radiators now on the CX235C SR providing improved access for cleaning and maintenance.
