Universal Recycling & Scrap Iron Corp Acquires Scrap Yard in NJ

Universal Recycling & Scrap Iron Corp., a subsidiary of Universal Wrecking Corp., recently took over ownership and operation of the former Cosmos Green Acres scrap yard located at 23 Double Trouble Road, Bayville, NJ 08721.  Hours of operation are M — F 7am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 2pm.

Universal Recycling & Scrap Iron Corp. (URSI) plans to transform the 16 acre site into a state of the art scrap recycling facility that accepts non-ferrous and ferrous scrap metals as well as scrap autos, trucks, trailers and heavy equipment. It is the largest and most conveniently located scrap recycling facility in central and southern New Jersey.  URSI has installed (2) 70 foot, 100 ton certified truck scales and (2) smaller platform scales. The facility now also boasts an armada of recycling machinery and equipment including, grapples, material handlers, shears, skid steers, loaders, forklifts, various hopper, containers and support equipment. The scrap recycling equipment quickly sorts, processes and packages the metals for shipment to domestic and export markets.

In addition to the recycling yard, URSI also owns and operates a large fleet of trucks to include, roll off trucks, containers, tractors, dump trailers, flatbeds, roll backs and box trucks.  URSI can dispatch trucks and containers to industrial, commercial and warehousing accounts virtually at any location in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New York. This allows clients to fill the containers with scrap metal as generated by their daily operations.  Once full, clients can call URSI for a quick pickup of the container and prompt payment for their scrap metals.
