Miller UK, Cramlington based manufacturer who specialise in the supply of quick couplers, buckets and attachments for hydraulic excavators worldwide can finally confirm light at the end of the tunnel!

Miller suffered a huge reduction in turnover when the recession first hit and the past 3 years have been very challenging trading conditions which are now beginning to improve as a result of the continuous hard work, determination and passion of their people.

“Everyone suffered during the worst period in the Company’s history” said Keith Miller, Company Chairman. “Our people endured a 4 day week, pay freezes, pay reductions and redundancy, the lot while we battled through; we are therefore delighted that we have been able to start investing this year in the front line to continue the steady growth we are now beginning to enjoy”. 

As part of the company’s recovery and growth the management felt it was important to continue investing in the brand and image, which have been part of the foundations and the heritage of the company’s success, so after investing in its people and product a complete renewal of the company’s entire motor vehicle fleet was deemed the next step in this process.

Miller has added a brand new fleet of Audi A4s for the Sales and Management team, supplied by Liverpool Audi who were very helpful and competitive, brand new Mercedes Sprinter vans for the Field Service Engineers and a brand new Volvo articulated truck. This investment will support and improve Miller product delivery and most importantly the Miller service countrywide. Miller has been able to boost internal morale with its people as well as provide a continuous and reliable service to all its UK customers and improve its response times.

This is just the start as far as driving the necessary changes and investments required for the challenges of 2012 and beyond.  Miller recognise the need for creative thinking and delivering value in everything it produces and offers to its global customer network.
