Digitally Enhanced Weigh Module: The POWERCELL® PDX®

To meet industry demands and maximise productivity, METTLER TOLEDO has improved the Pinmount Weigh Module with digital POWERCELL® PDX® technology.

This enhancement provides advanced diagnostic information which reduces maintenance by minimising problems which lead to downtime or inaccurate results.

The built-in predictive diagnostics system constantly monitors the load cell and indicates potential problems before they arise. The internal microprocessor continually adjusts the weight signal to compensate for various environmental factors, providing accurate weighing diagnostics regardless of the impact of temperature, linearity, hysteresis and creep. This allows action to be taken before the system shuts down or measures incorrectly.

A proven lightning protection system prevents costly down time by safeguard­ing the entire scale network.

These hermetically sealed load cells are rated IP68 and can be used in all environments. Easy to inspect or replace, they connect to one another in a simple network that eliminates the need for failure-prone junction boxes.

Mechanical Safety

The rugged Pinmount weigh modules offer many features for easy installation and accurate, reliable weighing. Two standard lift-off screws cope with wind forces while two vertical down stops provide additional safety. The rocker pin design automatically aligns load forces for precise, repeatable weighing.

Up to two optional stabilisers can be applied to each weigh module to stabilise a scale subject to heavy vibration, high torque or in-motion weighing. With stabilizers installed, thermal expansion is still possible, guaranteeing the best weighing performance and short stabilisation times.
