Miller UK complete refurbishment of dump truck bodies for a national quarry and development company

Miller UK global leaders in quick coupler and bucket technology have recently completed the refurbishment of a number of large dump truck bodies for a national quarry and development company.

A total of 6 dump truck bodies have been refurbished recently, not only for the development company but for a mining company based in Scotland. It took only 10 days to collect, refurbish and return each of the 190 tonne CAT 785 and 100 tonne Terex bodies.  The contract was won when Miller promised they would take only 10 days to complete the work, in comparison to the 8 weeks for refurbishment that the customer was given off a competitor.

Miller also stayed at the customer’s site to install spill extensions onto their fleet of CAT 777F machines, allowing them to transport more product and therefore gaining more revenue. To further support this 6 sets of canopy strengthening kits have been supplied with the refurbishments to increase the longevity of the bodies. 

Transportation of these large items has caused issue as they can take up both sides of the road and so posing a danger to oncoming traffic. For this task Miller invested in escort vehicles and got help from local police forces in England and Scotland to ensure the products were returned to site on time and more importantly safely.

Miller not only refurbish product but they also manufacture a range of standard and specialist buckets including the innovative Scoop bucket. Recently they have made face shovels for both RH120 and RH90 machines.
