One year on, Doosan Infracore Portable Power (DIPP) and Leach Lewis Plant are celebrating a very successful start to their new partnership. Leach Lewis has a non-exclusive agreement to distribute DIPP's products in the South East of England and is now responsible for sales and support for the complete range of portable air compressors and has sales access to an extensive range of generators, lighting towers and construction tools from DIPP.
One of the outstanding achievements by Leach Lewis is the number of companies that have been converted to the Doosan range which previously purchased other brands. Already more than 40 new customers have decided to purchase the Doosan brand for the first time. These customers are spread across a wide range of markets including plant and tool hire businesses, shotblasters, utilities contractors and pipe laying companies.
Peter Sayers, Commercial Director at Leach Lewis, commented: "We are delighted by the success we are having with the Doosan range which has been well accepted by our salesforce and customer base alike. One of the keys to this is our commitment to have in stock large quantities of product, which allows us to respond very quickly to customers especially in the hire and utility markets where products can often be required on short notice."
Colin Frost, Area Sales Manager for DIPP, said: "There is an excellent relationship between the two companies. We have been very impressed by the professionalism and sales performance of Leach Lewis, where the decision to stock machines has proved very fruitful in terms of sales and customer support."
Peter Sayers continued: "With the stock we hold, this has allowed us to offer our very effective 'Try Before You Buy' scheme, where we can provide a stock machine for a trial period at the customer. We can support this with finance packages provided by our own finance arm, Leach Lewis Capital, which give customers even more flexibility when they buy Doosan products."
With four depots at Waltham Cross, Maidstone, Oxford and Peterborough, Leach Lewis has operations covering the entire South East region. Maidstone is home to the Service Call Centre for Leach Lewis from where the company's engineers can be coordinated to meet customers' needs throughout the region. The company's core expertise for parts is based at the Oxford depot which is home to the Leach Lewis Parts Centre.
