The Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology is holding a one day short course looking at the handling , storage and feeding issues encountered with various different biomass materials. Each has it's own different property issues, which mean different methods of control need to be applied. With the emphasis on the practical aspects of technology, the following topics will be discussed:
Common issues for existing and new systemsBest practice for dust emission and controlThe special properties of biomassDesign for new systems and equipment
Case studies will be used to illustrate the presentations where applicable, and substantial discussion periods are included to permit the analysis of specific problems experienced by attendees. The course has been designed to help delegates identify and resolve common problems of fuel handling in co-firing of coal and biomass, or biomass alone.
