Euro Auctions’ specialist one day crane sale reaches new heights

Global marketing campaign by Euro Auctions results in best prices at crane and mixed plant sale for Fox Brothers Plant Hire and Fox Brothers Crane Hire.

Euro Auctions, the UK’s largest auctioneers of construction plant and industrial equipment, was appointed to conduct a one day ‘on site’ sale on behalf of Fox Brothers Plant Hire and Fox Brothers Crane Hire in Blackpool, Lancashire that took place on the 10th May 2011.

By mounting a global marketing campaign, Euro Auctions was able to target special interest buyers throughout Europe, into the Middle East and beyond, resulting in best prices being realised on all equipment for Fox Brothers plant hire and crane hire divisions.

It is fast becoming a trend that when Euro Auctions is contracted to sell ‘on site’ for a client, the sale is seen as an extension of the already busy Euro Auctions calendar, and attracts many familiar faces who ‘fly in’ to the sale, with others bidding online. The Fox Brothers auction was no exception, attracted approaching 400 bidders from 23 countries, with around half attending in person.

Buyers attending the sale on the day had travelled from Egypt, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Iraq, The Netherlands, Poland and Saudi Arabia with Internet bidders attracted from countries including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Spain, Finland, France, Sweden and Slovenia.

• 2010 Doosan DX55 Rubber Tracks, Blade, Offset, Piped, QH, c/w 5 Buckets - £28,000
• 2006 Manitou MT1740SLT Turbo c/w QH, Joystick Controls, Sway, Sideshift - £24,000
• 2006 JCB 531-70 Powershift Telehandler - £22,500
• 2009 Genie Z45/25J Wheeled Boom Lift Access Platform - £23,500
• 2010 John Deere 6630 Power Quad 4WD Tractor - £35,000
• 2007 JCB 3CX P21 Turbo Powershift Sitemaster Backhoe Loader, QH, SRS, Piped - £27,000 

In all, 540 lots were sold during this one day sale, with 24% of assets being bought online and 18% of equipment scheduled to be exported from the UK.
