Smiley Monroe recently hosted a 1 day product training event for its workforce at its Lisburn headquarters in Northern Ireland. Terex kindly provided a Powerscreen Chieftan 1700 mobile screener, which is fitted with Smiley Monroe's endless conveyor belts and cut rubber parts.
With a Powerscreen service engineer on hand, all departments — including sales, production, quality and logistics - got the opportunity to tour the machine, ask questions and carefully inspect the equipment and parts. This event not only creates a buzz at Smiley Monroe, but also gives our production teams better knowledge of our customer's product and a greater appreciation of the essential role our products play on mobile crushing, screening and recycling equipment in operation every day around the world.
Because Smiley Monroe's quality resides in both our people and our products, training is key - in order to remain globally competitive and continue to add value to our customers' operations. In a nutshell, Continuous Improvement of products and processes, using Lean Manufacturing tools to eliminate waste, is at the heart of Smiley Monroe's culture.
We hope this is only the first of many such events, in partnership with our other OEM customers.
