Baldwins Crane Hire Limited Buys Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 Mobile Crane

Baldwins Crane Hire Limited continues its long association with Liebherr, recently taking delivery of a 500 tonnes capacity LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane. This latest addition to Baldwins 7-1000 tonnes fleet joins numerous other Liebherr mobiles operated by the company and is available for hire nationally from their Heavy Crane Division.

Baldwins new LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane has been taken with top specifications and optional extras for maximum operational versatility. The 7-section, electronically controlled, 84m main boom is augmented by a 91m luffing lattice fly, mountable at inclinations of 83°, 75° and 67° and which provide considerable height (145m maximum under-hook-height) and reach capabilities (108m maximum working radius) with correspondingly impressive load capacities. This latest generation model also features Liebherr's Y-boom guying system for added capacity at both reach and height. The 16X8X12 chassis is surprisingly agile for such a large crane and Baldwins has taken the optional rear space monitoring reversing camera and colour monitor system for the driving cab.

On accepting the keys from Liebherr-Great Britain's Managing Director Richard Everist (see picture), Wayne Baldwin responded to the question "why another Liebherr LTM 1500 crane?" by succinctly replying "It's the best of the best!"
