Pacepacker, who manufacture bagging, pick and place and robot palletising systems, is celebrating after being nominated for a top award at the food and beverage industry equivalent of the Oscars! Nomination for Food Processing's Robotics & Automation 2011 Award, follows Pacepacker's automation achievement at premier animal feedstuffs manufacturer I'Anson, where they have virtually eliminated all sack wastage, improved product presentation and assisted I'Anson's growth, which now outputs 2 million sacks of animal feed per year.
David Strydom, editor of Food Processing Magazine who runs the awards, commented: "When I read that Pacepacker Services had been able to eliminate sack waste - estimated at £10,000 per year - in their work with l'Anson, I immediately thought of nominating them for an award. In reality, this case study could have been applicable to three or four awards."
Dennis Allison, MD of Pacepacker Services, commented: "To be nominated alongside some of the world's major robotics and automation suppliers is absolutely fantastic. It shows the value of what we do and reflects the success of our work not just with l'Anson, but also our other clients."
Now in its 27th year, the Food Processing Awards recognises companies for their achievements in the food and beverage industry. Winners will be announced at a ceremony held on the 23 June 2011 at Hinckley Island Hotel, Leicestershire.
