A&A Recycling Services Orders Another Doppstadt Shredder from Blue Machinery

Following the recent RWM06 show, Blue Machinery Plc reports that the forward orders book is swelling nicely as the company did some excellent business at the exhibition. Amongst the many deals clinched at RWM06, one of Blue Machinery’s long-term customers, A&A Recycling Services placed an order for a new Doppstadt AK-630 shredder and this highly productive machine will be joining other Doppstadts at the company’s woodwaste processing facilities at Bentley, near Atherstone, Warwickshire (Photo shows A&A Recycling’s Roger Balmer [left] confirming the order with Area Sales Manager Robert McKernan [right] on the Blue Machinery stand at RWM06).

A&A Recycling Services is a well established specialist in the treatment and processing of packaging waste timber, producing a range of clean end products for board mills and woodchip specifically for incineration in power generation. Additionally, A&A repairs and markets a range of wooden pallets and, as part of their future expansion into other woodwaste markets, is also planning to offer a comprehensive range of products for soil improvement, municipal and commercial landscaping and livestock bedding. A&A Recycling Services is a fully accredited producer of high quality woodwaste products and provides a collection and delivery service in the region, sourcing timber packaging raw waste materials predominantly from the automotive industry.

The Doppstadt AK-630 Multi III shredder features a very high throughput rate, a patented load-sensing material feed system and is one of the most powerful shredding machines available today. The heavy grating mass, 1000rpm flail drum and free-swinging flail holders with replaceable tips make this machine a truly efficient and long-lasting high-speed shredder. The unique shredding system is extremely quick to replace and the final sizing basket can be changed in less than 15 minutes. The AK-630 is equipped with a generously proportioned 6m feed hopper and a 7m discharge conveyor with overband magnet for removal of tramp metals. The operationally quiet and electronically controlled 448kW diesel engine is highly fuel efficient; easy maintenance is facilitated by large side access doors and central lubrication. The shredder’s semi-trailer mobility is augmented by a fast set-up time (typically 10 minutes), made easy by the hydraulically folding discharge conveyor.

Doppstadt high-speed hammermill shredders have innovative design features for safe and easy operation and maintenance. These include separation of the engine from the shredder unit for easy service access and safety enhancement by minimising dust build-up; high-tech control unit which monitors fluid levels and provides a safety over-ride if fluids become too low; hydraulically folding conveyors for swift set-up time and maximum mobility on restricted sites; large maintenance access doors and centralised lubrication points; quick-change sizing gates, load sensors and reversing action for maximum throughput and operational efficiency.
