Pilot Crushtec flew the South African flag high during the recent bC India 2011 trade show in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex.
"We were the only South African company at the show," says Graham Kleinhans, Pilot Crushtec's director sales, "and we brought back a significant number of leads which we hope to exploit over the next few months".
Graham commented that there is definitely scope to grow Pilot Crushtec's market in India, especially seeing that the country recently brought in legislation to prevent the mining of sand from riverbeds.
"They were particularly interested in our mobile and semi-mobile range of vertical shaft impact (VSI) crushers," comments Graham.
Pilot Crushtec's export sales manager Paul Chappel, who attended the show together with Graham, confirmed that a number of potential dealers and agents have been identified.
"Now the work begins as we follow up every potential contact we have made with emails and visits and hopefully we can build on these opportunities provided by the show," he commented.
Roughly 22 000 delegates in the construction, engineering and mining industries of the region attended the show from 8 — 11 February 2011 which had over 400 exhibitors from 25 different countries.
