Massive Powerscreen & TEREX Pegson European Open Days

Massive Powerscreen & TEREX Pegson European Open Days

Massive Powerscreen & TEREX Pegson European Open Days

World leaders in crushing and screening, Powerscreen and TEREX Pegson, are enjoying impressive continued sales growth in 2006 with a combined turnover of over €330M.  As part of their continuing new product development programmes, they have launched a number of new products to the crushing, screening, washing and recycling industries.  Powerscreen and TEREX Pegson are full line producers of mobile equipment from the market entry MkII screen up to the high capacity Horizon 6203 and 1412 Trakpactor.

The city of Krakow, Poland was the venue for the product launches to their European Dealer network and customers. This emphasises the importance placed by these world-class award-winning manufacturers on their European exports and, particularly, the rapidly emerging Eastern European market.  25 crushing, screening, washing and recycling products were on display, either working on their own or as entire plants.  One such complete crushing and screening plant was the five machine set-up with the 1180 Premiertrak feeding the 1300 Maxtrak feeding the Chieftain 2400 (oversize to the 1000 Maxtrak) feeding the Horizon 6203.  This set-up has been working successfully in Europe, North America and Australia producing high volumes of specific sized clean aggregate products.

The open days attracted numerous major customers from established markets including the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. Additionally, over 100 customers attended from the emerging markets in Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS.

This major European event once again demonstrated Powerscreen and TEREX Pegson’s position as the dominant global leaders in the manufacture and distribution of mobile crushing, screening, washing and recycling equipment.

Powerscreen and TEREX Pegson closed sales worth an estimated €4,350,000 at the event and confidently anticipate orders in excess of €7,250,000 in the post-event period.

The new products launched were:

  • Powerscreen Warrior 1800 Radial
  • Powerscreen Warrior 1400 2 -way split
  • Powerscreen Chieftain 1400 & 2100 Rinsers
  • Powerscreen Powershredder 2400
  • Powerscreen Phoenix 2100 Trommel
  • TEREX Pegson 1412 Trakpactor

Crush, Screen, Wash, Recycle - with Powerscreen & TEREX Pegson

CRUSH
NEW: 1412 Trakpactor
This European open day event provided TEREX Pegson with an opportunity to display its latest impactor the 1412 Trakpactor, which has been designed to operate in quarrying or recycling environments. Simple to operate and easy to maintain this machine is highly fuel efficient and can achieve output capacities of 550 tonnes per hour.

The 1412 Trakpactor is equipped with a Hazemag AP-PH 1214/Q impactor with four reversible and replaceable fixed blowbars. This new plant offers impressive reduction ratios, producing up to 85% passing -32mm on primary limestone applications, in one pass.

A particular feature of this crushing plant is the hydraulic apron locking facility, including hydraulic overload protection. This eliminates apron bounce, maximises the reduction, provides consistent product size with less oversize than conventional spring loaded impact crushers, as well as additional protection against tramp metal - particularly important on recycling applications. The crusher opens and adjusts hydraulically and a hydraulic tilting feed plate is also fitted to improve blockage clearance. The 1412 Trakpactor incorporates the latest high-technology PLC control system, with minimal wiring, and this can also be used to automatically regulate the feed to the crusher based on engine load.

The new 1412 Trakpactor is powered by a 315kW CAT C12 engine and is highly fuel-efficient, as it employs direct drive via a fluid coupling.  The engine has a flat power curve above 1800 RPM, which allows the crusher’s feed to be changed without the need for pulley changes. The plant is fitted with a discharge conveyor that can be raised and lowered hydraulically by push-button control to give excellent access for removal of wire on recycling applications. It also reduces transport dimensions and dramatically improves access for maintenance.

Also on display was the impressive combination of TEREX Pegson’s 1165HR Premiertrak feeding into a 1000SR cone crushing plant.  This primary and secondary crushing combination can achieve excellent product cubicity and a throughput capacity of 350 tonnes per hour.

SCREEN
NEW: Warrior Options
The Warrior 1400 model has a new option making it an even more flexible screening product.  Adjustments can be made on site in approximately 2 hours to refit the Warrior conveyors so that the mid size and oversize materials can be combined onto the oversize conveyor.  This is ideal when you want both the mid and oversize product to feed into a crusher.

The Powerscreen Warrior 1800 Radial has a new radial feature option. The new radial fines conveyor is an enhanced version of the popular Warrior 1800, with the added benefit of increased stockpiling capacity with a 180 degree, swivelling fines conveyor.

The Warrior 1800 Radial is built for tough, high capacity tasks and is equally at home processing crushed stone, sand, gravel, topsoil, coal or construction, demolition and building waste.  One of the most versatile screening machines on the market today, the Warrior 1800 Radial has a highly aggressive screenbox which is able to operate with finger screens, woven mesh or punch plate on both top and bottom decks - the top deck can also operate with Bofor bar. Screen angle is hydraulically adjustable and the bottom deck options include “Z” meshes, square elongated meshes, speedharp, flexiharps and Self Cleaning Balldeck

Screen.

The machine is capable of screening, three-way splitting and stockpiling and, typically, can be set up ready for operation within 15-20 minutes of arrival on site. Output can be up to 500 tonnes per hour, depending on materials being processed and screen choice.

Both the Warrior 1400 and 1800 have horizontal feeders and the additional feature of a lift-up screen box to allow easy mesh change, collection belt change and cleaning bottom deck mesh in sticky applications.

WASH
NEW: The Chieftain 1400 Rinser & 2100 Triple Deck Rinser
Powerscreen has an extensive range of Washing plants that produce clean end products ready to be sold or used. On show in Poland was a proven wash plant consisting of a Chieftain 2100 triple deck feeding a Finesmaster 120 giving 5 clean end products.

The Chieftain 1400 2 deck and 2100 triple deck Rinsers are new to the Powerscreen Washing Range.  They are track mounted, fully mobile washing screens complete with on board side conveyors. Designed to work with the Powerscreen range of washing equipment they can work independently or as part of an entire wash plant. By replacing the slurry catchbox with a standard tail conveyor the Chieftain 1400 and 2100 can easily convert to dry screening mode.  Chieftain Rinsers are highly versatile units offering the flexibility of rinsing and dry screening applications with on one self contained mobile machine.

RECYCLE
NEW : Phoenix 2100 Trommel & Powershredder 2400
Powerscreen is a leading supplier of recycling equipment in Europe for the volume reduction and separation of municipal waste, construction and demolition waste, green and wood waste.

Two new products, the Powershredder 2400 and Phoenix 2100 trommel, were on display at a working waste management site in Krakow city, along with the well proven Powershredder 1800, Orion 1400 trommel and Phoenix 1600 trommel.  Powerscreen has arguably the largest range of trommel screening, stockpiling and composting machines available on the market today.

The brand new Powershredder 2400 features a number of different tools and shaft configurations for the efficient and high volume reduction of household, industrial, building and green waste, timber, plastics and logging/sawmill waste. Under measured test conditions, the Powershredder 2400 proved to be able to process up to 105 tonnes per hour of old timber and municipal solid waste and, for bulkier refuse and industrial solid waste, the throughput averaged 55 tonnes per hour.

The Phoenix 2100 is the latest trommel to be added to the range.  It is suited to topsoil, wood chip and compost applications and has a 180 degree, remote control radial conveyor which increases stock pile height.  The Phoenix 2100 has a 4 wheel friction drive system and reversible operation to rock the drum to clear blockages.
