- 30th September 2006
- Quarrying
As part of their ongoing staff development and training programmes, IMS UK recently
had five sales engineers successfully gain their Quarry Contractors Safety Passport.
IMS Divisional Director Adrian Hance said: “The company endorses the ‘safety is no accident’ theme so, as part of our development programme, a number of staff have gained their passports”.
Chris Taylor, IMS Regional Sales Manager said: “We are all well aware of the safety aspects required in our job but the course, the examination, and in the end, the passport, have all been worthwhile”.
IMS have many customers in the mining and quarrying markets and staff are often on site with customers. Chris Taylor added “Part of the service offered to customers is to give on site technical support so we are frequently looking at buckets, hoppers, chutes, crusher parts – in fact all general quarry wear parts – when we are on site”.
IMS (UK) Ltd are leaders in the distribution and processing of abrasion resistant steel within the UK and continue to develop their products and services to ensure they are much more than just a steel stockholder.
