Canning supply new conveyor systems to Imerys.

Canning Conveyor has recently supplied conveyor systems to the Treviscoe and Parkanddillick sites of Imerys.
Imerys Tiles Minerals is part of Imerys, a world leader in adding value to minerals. The company is dedicated to innovation and services in raw materials for tiles worldwide.
At the Treviscoe site Canning supplied several new conveyors for different applications which included a new 685mm wide x 8.5m pug link conveyor which included fitting the head section with a new bifurcated two way chute complete with a manually operated flap door. Canning also supplied a paddle-mixer product conveyor, two extruder feeder conveyors and two extruder product conveyors. All these conveyors were supplied with belt scraper, feed boot, discharge chute, guards, supports to ground, three roll troughing idler sets 20º and parallel return rollers.
Canning also made modifications to the existing HPP mills conveyor, this included reducing the length by some 7 metres including belt cutting and re-vulcanising. Other modifications included removal of the pelletiser and feed conveyor. All internal faces of chutes were also fitted with 6mm low friction white perplas.
Canning completed the project by installing two extruders and oscillating feed conveyors and also designed manufactured and installed galvanized open mesh access platforms walkways and stairs.
At the Parkanddillick site Canning supplied three heavy-duty product conveyors all designed to accept up to 30 tonnes/hr of filter cake. All the conveyors were elevated to suit existing feed heights within the system and were supplied with plain belt, belt scraper, feed boot, discharge chute, guards, supports, three roll troughing idler sets and parallel return rollers.
The head end support of the longest conveyor was also fitted with a three sided open mesh platform which is accessed from a new ladder positioned beneath. This conveyor was also fitted with a chute which feeds directly onto an existing conveyor which is under slung from the floor.
Canning Conveyor extended the existing conveyor by approximately 3 metres, relocated the existing drive and discharge unit and swapped the head and tail sections to opposite ends.
Again all internal faces of chutes were fitted with 6mm low friction white perplas.
