Liebherr Introduces The New R 313 Litronic Hydraulic Excavator

Liebherr has a continuous programme of product research and development and, following extensive and successful field trials, the company announces the latest addition to the tracked excavator series, the new R 313 Litronic. This is a 14 tonne class machine and features striking new lines; an enlarged and luxurious cab; re-designed and longer undercarriage; a powerful, economical and environmentally efficient new-range Deutz diesel engine; Liebherr’s own Litronic engine and hydraulics management system; a wide variety of boom and stick options and configurations; optional dozer blade; track pad variants from 500mm to 900mm.

The new R 313 Litronic is equally at home as an earthmover or materials handler and is engineered and finished to Liebherr’s usual high standards of quality, reliability and productivity.

The Superstructure
The operator’s cab is air-conditioned, spacious, functional and extremely comfortable in order to reduce operator fatigue and thereby increase performance. An air-suspended and fully adjustable seat features twin multi-directional joystick controls integrated into the armrests. Full instrumentation and a Litronic monitor screen provide the operator with all engine and hydraulics performance and operational data. Power is provided by one of the latest generation of Deutz diesel engines, type BF4M2012C, which has a rated output of 74.9kW (102HP).

The Undercarriage
The redesigned undercarriage is 3 metres long, providing outstanding working stability, and the large trackframe componentry ensures a prolonged active life with reduced wear and tear. Track pad widths of between 500mmm and 900mm are available, as is a range of steel-core rubber pads - ideal for roadworks and urban sites. The R 313 Litronic is fitted as standard with two carrier rollers, seven track rollers and a track guide - two further track guides can be ordered as optional extras. An optional radially guided hydraulic dozer blade is also available in various widths. Maximum drawbar pull is 151kN. Travel speed is infinitely variable up to 5kph.

Equipment and Attachments
Two-piece, monobloc and side-adjustable booms are all available, together with a range of stick lengths from 2.05m to 2.65m. The new R 313 Litronic can be equipped with an hydraulic quick change adapter and there is a complete range of Liebherr buckets, including standard backhoes, ditching and swivelling. On backhoe, the R 313 Litronic has a maximum bucket capacity of 0.75m³.
