Portasilo has recently significantly expanded BLI’s Lime storage capabilities at their Tunstead Quarry in Derbyshire. Two new silos were provided for storage of Hydrated Lime. These large silos 4.64m in diameter were fully factory built.
The silos are filled via lean phase pneumatic conveying system with 150mm bore pipeline transferring the Hydrated Lime from the client’s hydrator. Portasilo’s scope of supply included substantial foundation works incorporating a weighbridge and associated pit.
