EMS Ltd to assist Fife Council with its target to achieve Zero Waste to landfill.

EMS Ltd the Northern Irish recycling plant manufacturer have been awarded the contract to manufacture a sorting plant for Fife Council to be installed on its lochead landfill site.
Fife Council are installing the plant to primarily sort the mixed waste generated in the Councils Civic amenity sites with the intention to recover as much organic and recyclable material as possible and minimize the amount of waste sent to landfill.

The plant will be installed and running by early April and will consist of a Trommel, EMS Waste sorting station and magnetic separators to allow maximum recovery of all valuable recyclates from the mixed waste collection which previously went straight to landfill. This plant will minimize landfill tax charges, generate a revenue from recovered materials and generate fine material for daily cover on the landfill site.
