Renewable energy from innovative energy solutions

With the fluctuating price of energy in an uncertain marketplace, Innovative Energy Solutions, based in Lisburn, County Antrim, Northern Ireland sells and installs a complete range of renewable energy solutions which include, wind turbines, geothermal heat pumps, air source heat pumps, solar thermal and solar LED lighting.

To assist in the installation process a Manitou MLT523T was purchased from local Manitou dealer Northern Lift Trucks of Lisburn. The compact dimensions of the Manitou is ideal, not just for working on site, but also from a logistical point of view as it is the right size and weight to fit onto the low loader trailer bed with the other installation machinery, a crane and an elevator platform.

The rough terrain performance is important to operate on difficult ground conditions handling the turbines, rotary arms, tool box, electrical equipment and general build materials.

Innovative Energy Solutions (I.E.S) are a new business venture employing ten staff.  Primarily their customer base is farming, domestic and light commercial. The company has been appointed the main distributors for the Joliet range of products in the UK and Ireland. The domestic turbines are normally 3 and 5 kw, whilst light commercial demand is for 10 to 20 kw. All aspects of installation, planning, erection and commissioning are part of the I.E.S. service.

The objective of I.E.S. is to provide a total package and to be fully equipped with all the necessary machinery to complete the job efficiently and on time. The three day installation programme involves one day for the groundworks, one day for the erection of the turbine and rotor arms and one day for the fitting of the electronics.

The Manitou MLT523T has been well received by the installation team of I.E.S., features which have proved popular include the spacious comfortable cab which is easy to access, excellent stability and agility to operate in restricted areas.

With the demand for alternative energy increasing I.E.S and Manitou are helping to maintain power throughout the UK and Ireland.
