UP to 12 new jobs are being created over the coming year by ConveyorTek, a company servicing and supplying conveyor components to the bulk-handling industry across the UK and Irish Republic.

 ConveyorTek founding director Philip Trimble, who brings 16 years experience in bulk handling equipment design, manufacture, installation and servicing to this Ballinderry based business emphasised the need for high calibre applicants.

 "In a quarry, a mine or other bulk handling situation customers need not only robust equipment, but a fast response support service that solves practical conveyor problems within hours rather than days and all at a competitive price.

 "Now appointed all Ireland exclusive distributors of Sempertrans conveyor belting we need to recruit site service personnel, production operatives and technical sales staff.

 "There will also be openings in book-keeping, safety and quality auditing," added Philip, who foresees further expansion at ConveyorTek as the global recession eases.

  "Aside from huge numbers of quarries this island has some of the largest salt and zinc mines in Western Europe.
