The New LTM 1150-6.1
From their extensive range of mobile cranes, the new LTM 1150-6.1 telescopic mobile crane makes its UK show debut resplendent in Ainscough livery. As part of their display, Liebherr will demonstrate the latest Bluetooth remote control system on the LTM 1150-6.1, showing how this can now be employed to remotely control all functions on the crane's superstructure. This is a must-see demonstration, which showcases Liebherr's commitment to investment in the latest technology and, above all, safety.
With 66m main boom length, this new 6-axle all-terrain crane offers the longest telescopic boom in its class. Under-hook heights of up to 93m and working radii up to 76m can be achieved with the telescopic boom extensions and hydraulically adjustable swing-away fly-jib.
The 6-axle carrier of the LTM 1150-6.1 has a length of only 13.5m, a turning radius of 11m and can carry up to 15 tonnes of counterweight with an axle load of 12 tonnes and a total GVW of 72 tonnes. The steering angle of the rear axles are actively controlled depending on the driving speed and all six axles are steered, eliminating the need for lifting of axles for crab steering. Five different steering programs can be easily activated by push button. The width of the carrier with 16.00 tyres is only 2.75m and, in addition to the maximum support base of 8.3m, support widths of 6.8m, 5.4m and 2.75m are available as standard. The LTM 1150-6.1 is equipped with pneumatic disk brakes, producing remarkably higher breaking power in comparison with drum brakes.
The new LTM 1150-6.1 is driven by a new generation Liebherr V8 turbo-charged engine with databus control, developing 400kW (544HP) at 1,900 rpm. The 12-speed ZF-TC-Tronic gearbox, with automatic gear change and dry clutch, ensures the best possible fuel economy.
The cabs for driving and crane operation offer the crane driver a safe and comfortable working environment and, for improved visibility, the crane cab can be hydraulically tilted by up to 20°.
32 TT Fast Erecting Tower Crane
Liebherr's continuing success with tower and mobile cranes in the UK is well documented. On the stand at Vertikal Days, the company is displaying a 32 TT fast-erecting tower crane.
From Liebherr's latest generation of high performance, advanced technology, fast-erecting tower cranes range, the 32 TT is a very economical, multitalented machine. Offering seven different jib lengths, load moments to suit the task in hand and three different under-hook heights, the 32 TT has a double telescopic action for both mast and jib. It can be erected into working position in a matter of minutes and ballasted by a single operator using the new ballasting equipment. This crane has a simple wind-release system and can be manoeuvred upright into very narrow gaps on site. The erection process is swift and simple, unfolding automatically from the transport position controlled from a single panel and, following training, the operator should be able to have the crane ready for work within 30 minutes from arrival at the site location.
Performance is impressive with 7 telescopic jib lengths from 18-30 metres and under-hook heights of 14m, 19m and 24m. Maximum lifting capacity is 4,000kg and the maximum lift at 30 metres working radius is 1,100kg.
