Arabian Cement Company automates Rabigh Plant Dispatch Operations with Precia-Molen.

Rabigh, Saudi Arabia - Precia-Molen has recently won a contract to supply a Dispatch Automation System for the Arabian Cement Company (ACC) of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at their Rabigh plant.

Chosen to design and build a system based around the market-leading GeneSYS^TM and GSM software, Precia-Molen will provide an essential element of a full automation package contractor FLS Automation is providing for the new production line 6 at Rabigh.

ACC required a flexible and innovative on-site weighing and load management system that was capable of achieving three specific goals: to achieve controlled and orderly traffic within the plant, to optimise order handling and delivery tracking, and to automate the loading of trucks, with full integration into the ACC Oracle business management system.

The most visible problem which will be solved by GeneSYS^TM at Rabigh is essentially one of traffic congestion as the current dispatch system is entirely paper based.

Particularly useful to ACC is the GeneSYS^TM development of simultaneous Arabic & English user interface. Precia-Molen were also tasked with interfacing with the existing plant bulk loading cement silo's, and the auto packers to ensure the correct number of bags are loaded.

In total 23 BI300 driver consoles will be supplied, all with swipe stations, including ticket printers for producing the final dispatch documentation; all working efficiently under local temperature extremes of up to 45°C.
