DUNGANNON, N. IRELAND, April 8, 2009 -- Powerscreen International Ltd., a subsidiary of Terex Corporation, based in Dungannon, Northern Ireland, has been granted the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category by Her Majesty the Queen.  This award places Powerscreen into an elite group of UK companies to win a Queen's Award and puts the company among the most successful of UK businesses.Powerscreen proved its international trade credentials by increasing international sales by 41% since 2005 with around 84% of total production sold overseas.

Powerscreen manufactures mobile screening, recycling and washing equipment for the global quarry, aggregates, mining and waste management industries to produce aggregates for the construction and infrastructure industries.

Powerscreen recently delivered a new seven machine crushing and screening plant to Latin America which will be capable of producing 300 tonnes per hour of end products.  This has been bought buy a large international civil contractor for a major sea defence and road construction project and illustrates that the strong Powerscreen exporting tradition continues even in these tough economic times.

Pat Brian, Global Sales Director, commented: "We are very proud to receive the Queen's Award in recognition of the valuable contribution made by each of our Team Members, the unstinting support of our worldwide dealer network and our loyal customer base.  Powerscreen faces a challenging time as a consequence of the global economic slowdown but the company is confident that the global strength of our brand, coupled with a tireless commitment to giving our customers a compelling value proposition will see us continually build upon the success achieved in recent years."
