Linatex installs Hard Metal Pumps in the Quarrying Industry

Having recently added a range of hard metal pumps to its well established rubber pumps Linatex recently provided an upgrade to an existing sand plant at Hanson Aggregates Barton Quarry.  This upgrade was specifically designed to remove "Lignite" from the concrete sand which was successfully achieved meeting the customers' expectations. Part of the upgrade resulted in installing four abrasion resistant Linatex CT hard metal slurry pumps.

Linatex supplied 1 x MS75 and 2 x MS100 pumps as part of the upgrade and after successful commissioning of the plant added a Linatex CT MS200 pump.

The Linatex CT Pump offers Hanson benefits not only in its wear performance but also in its maintainability. The incorporation of the replaceable suction door allows Hanson's maintenance personnel easy access to the internal workings and enables replacement of this high wear component without changing out the whole suction side casing.

The optimised hydraulic design of the Linatex CT Pump maximises efficiency throughout the life of the generously proportioned wear parts, making it one of the most efficient pumps available on the market today.

The Linatex CT Pump has been engineered to optimise abrasive slurry handling and fits a wide range of solids handling applications. The hard metal pump has proven its worth in the minerals processing arena and provides solid practical and statistical evidence of efficiency improvements across many applications.

The Linatex CT Pump range is available in sizes ranging from 50/32 up to 250/500 and offers a range of sealing arrangements which are available in all Linatex Global Operations.

Typical mineral processing applications include:

• Slurry Transfer- minerals, clay, phosphate, soda ash, pot ash.
• Coal Prep- heavy media, hydrocyclone feed and thickener underflow.
• Sand and Gravel - aggregate, slurries and tailings.
