Hydrex & DJ Laing choose JCC Engcon Group for tiltrotators

- 2nd October 2008
- Materials Handling
Hydrex and DJ Laing in Scotland recently chose JCC Engcon Group to supply tiltrotators & integrated grabs to provide each group with a more flexible and efficient use of their excavator fleet. A tiltrotator is a powerful tool that facilitates and rationalises your work and raises your profitability. It also helps improve workplace safety.
During recent trials it was calculated that the use of a tiltrotator, in excavations or the recycling industry via the grabs available, can reduce diesel consumption by nearly 20% and reduce wear parts of the excavators considerably.
The main reason for this is that the use of a tiltrotator can reduce the amount of times that an excavator needs to move into a new position as the tiltrotator can achieve this without moving the excavator. Tiltrotators have become a proven concept in the Scandinavian construction and installation industry. Today, almost no excavators and backhoe loaders under 30 tonnes are sold in Scandinavia without a tiltrotator. An integrated control system offers unlimited rotation and tilting up to 40° in two directions. The tiltrotator and other operations can be controlled quickly and simultaneously straight from the cab.
This model is delivered complete with tubes, hydraulic couplings and electrical installation equipment for one machine. The electrical system can be adapted for either 24 or 12 volt systems. The upper and lower hitches can be adapted to most machines on the market. We have an extensive database of existing hitches on the market. This tiltrotator can also be supplied with a direct attachment to the machine's stick. All models can also be supplied with integrated grab, or a separate stone/scrap handling grab fitted to the quick hitch system. Other attachments available from the system Engcon range include compactors, tar cutters, quick hitches, tilt hitches, rippers & buckets.
