Sheffield Metrology and Analysis Seminar 2008

Sheffield Metrology and Analysis Seminar 2008

The 2008 Sheffield Seminar on Elemental Spectrometry, sponsored by Spectro Analytical UK Ltd, will be held at The University of Sheffield on 10th and 11th September 2008, and will explore practical solutions to practical problems in industrial analysis. The first day's technical programme will focus on analytical issues facing the metals industries and the second day will be devoted to the analysis of non-metallic samples.

On both days, a morning technical programme will be followed by live instrument workshops and practical demonstrations, including sample preparation techniques. Experts from The University of Sheffield's Centre for Analytical Sciences, Cameca, Fluxana GmbH, Analysco Ltd, and Spectro Analytical Instruments will be on hand during the workshop sessions for detailed individual discussions.

"This event will bring together expertise from academia and industry" adds Malcolm Haigh of Spectro Analytical UK Ltd. "Anyone doing elemental analysis in industry will find something of value, from improving their analytical technique to the opportunity to view some of the very latest instrumentation."

Registration is £65.00 per person and includes refreshments and a buffet lunch.  Registered delegates are welcome to attend both days at no extra cost.
