“U-Crush-It”

Red Rhino Customer, U-Crush-It is a family owned business based in Alsop en le Dale in the heart of the Peak National Park.

It was set up as a farm diversification project following the rebuilding of the farm yard. A major part of the work involved taking up an old concrete farm yard to re-level and re-lay with block paving. "We were very keen to re-cycle the rubble into aggregate and started to look for a machine to do the job. At the time we couldn't find a small enough machine to get on site", said Mr Chris Duffell, civil engineer with 40 years worth experience in the construction industry and owner of U-Crush-It.

Mr Duffell says the rubble was taken away and fresh aggregate was purchased from a local quarry which he believed was wasting a lot of money as well as resources. He then continued searching for a smaller compact crusher to use for future jobs. Finally he came across the Red Rhino 4000 series crusher, "It is impressive, a crusher small enough to fit through the stable door, but man enough to do the job!"

U-Crush-It continues using their 4000 to save money with their own constructing jobs but also hires the crusher to locals who may wish to save money by crushing onsite which also encourages environmentally friendly business practice! "The idea of the crusher is simple - save money and the planet by recycling waste rubble into usable aggregate!"

Mr Duffell had his crusher on show at the Bakewell Spring Garden Festival earlier in May and generated plenty of interest amongst the locals. The "GREEN" Red Rhino will also be on display at the Derbyshire show on the 22nd of June as well as the Ashbourne Show the 16th of August.
