Julian Gunby appointed as Managing Director of the Wrights Dowson Group

Bedfordshire, England - One of the UK's leading Screw Conveyor experts and manufactures, Gamlingay based Wrights Dowson Group has recently appointed Julian Gunby as Managing Director. Julian's will also have the added responsibility for the Helitec, screw conveyor segment manufacturing division, located in Brislington, Bristol.

Immediately prior to joining the Wrights Dowson Group Julian held a Director position with a major manufacture of equipment used in the bulk materials, food, water treatment and sludge industries. As a Production Director his role encompassed responsibility for estimating, design and manufacturing.

In hand with this expertise, Julian also brings to the Wrights Dowson Group an extensive knowledge of asphalt plant, crushing equipment and sand & gravel plant from his employment at Parker Plant, Leicester, where he reached the position of Chief Estimator following on from his 22 year progression through the company from being a time served Engineering Apprentice.

With the Wrights Dowson Group continuing to expand both its sales and associated manufacturing of a growing range of powder handling equipment, Group Chairman, Nick Wright stated ‘' the appointment of Julian Gunby will enable the Group to forge ahead with its exciting expansion program to meet the challenges of providing a design led, modern, manufacturing facility''. As well as supplying its wide range of standard conveyors Wrights Dowson Group, utilising the latest sizing and solids work computer technology, has successfully supplied numerous bespoke conveyor systems across a wide industry base.

In the short time that Julian has been with company he has already commenced the procedures to implement ISO 9001 and re-organised the Group's, stainless steel manufacturing capability, which will enable the growth into a number of sectors including water treatment and food processing.
