Proper training of fork truck operators is not only a legal requirement; it also makes sound business sense. Reducing the risks of operating materials handling equipment is the responsibility of all managers and supervisors and to aid this process, Mentor have released a new range of DVD's focussing on the safe operation of a range of fork lift types.
The new Lifters range of DVD's have been carefully scripted and filmed in a variety of working applications and are an excellent visual aid showing new and experienced operators how it should be done properly and in easy to understand stages.
The 5 part set includes;
Part 1 - The Common Denominator (42 minutes) - this introductory film covers the basics of health and safety relating to fork trucks, the importance of pre shift inspections and how to conduct them, the principles of stability and the safe operation of counterbalance trucks.
Parts 2 to 5 build on the message in part 1 but then focus on the safe operation of different types of fork lift truck;
Part 2 - Reach for safety (15 minutes) - Reach trucks
Part 3 - Stand & Deliver (20 minutes) - Powered pallet trucks, Low level order pickers and support arm stackers
Part 4 - Straight & Narrow (18 minutes) - VNA trucks including man-up and man down stackers as well as multi level order pickers
Part 5 - The Flexible Revolution (17 minutes) - Pivot Steer trucks
