Blue Machinery at Scotplant 2008

Blue Machinery (Scotland) Limited is following up on its previous successful appearances at Scotplant and is exhibiting once again on Stands Numbers 2 and 4, Avenue C. This is the tenth year that Austin Carey and his team have been in business and the Company's display at Scotplant will reflect the steady and rational growth of the organisation over the past decade. Exhibits will confirm the world-class equipment distributed by Blue Machinery and the commitment the Company has to providing a single source with superb after sales product support to its continually expanding customer base throughout Scotland.
Blue Machinery (Scotland) provides nationwide coverage from its Stirling headquarters and is well-established as Scotland's leading single source for crushing, screening, conveying, washing, recycling and composting equipment, with the clear benefit of allowing all aspects of any quarried or recyclable materials processing operation to be supplied and serviced from under one roof. The backbone of Blue Machinery's range includes equipment from world-class OEMs TEREX Pegson, Powerscreen, Doppstadt, Kiverco, Backhus, General Kinematics and Telestack. Alongside the products on show will be a display representing Spares UK, Blue Machinery's sister company dedicated to providing an efficient and comprehensive "24/7" after sales product support, with a national back-up service of readily available genuine original equipment manufacturers' spare parts.
Four machines are being displayed on the Blue Machinery stand at Scotplant 2008.
The TEREX Pegson 1180 Premiertrak Jaw Crushing Plant
The 1180 Premiertrak mobile primary crushing plant, with diesel/hydraulic drive, has a very high production "M" Series single toggle jaw crusher, strong "I" Beam construction chassis and efficient twin-step vibrating grizzly feeder, all driven by a Caterpillar engine type C13 developing 297kW at 2100RPM. Output is up to 450 tonnes per hour, depending on the materials being processed, and the plant is suitable for most primary crushing operations.
The Premiertrak has an "HFO" clutch system, providing optimum efficiency for the the crusher drive mechanism. Additional features include a magnetic over-band separator and side discharge dirt conveyor, which can be supplied to this machine as an optional extra.
The TEREX Pegson 1300 Maxtrak Cone Crushing Plant
The 1300 Maxtrak is based around TEREX Pegson's famous Automax cone crusher, featuring a high performance 1300mm cone and available with a choice of liners suitable for secondary, or tertiary crushing applications. The Cat powered 1300 Maxtrak can be used for making aggregates, surface dressings, road-base or rail ballast, with capacities up to 360 tonnes per hour depending on the material feed sizes and products required. The 1300 Maxtrak can also be used as a primary crusher, where the feed material is of a size to readily enter the crushing chamber - for example on gravel crushing applications.
A unique system, with feed hopper and level probes, ensures continuous choke feeding of the cone crusher, improving cubical shape and increasing fines production for 'road-base' use. In most applications, this unique system is able to take an "all-in" feed from the jaw crusher, thereby eliminating the need for pre-screening which would reduce the cubicity of the finished product. The generously proportioned feed hopper can accept material from a loading shovel, excavator or conveyor.
The taper roller bearing design of the Automax, with hydraulic setting, tramp release and unblocking system ensures excellent productivity and ease of operation. Adjustment can be made "on the run", using the touch button controls with direct read-out of the closed side setting. The 1300 Maxtrak is equipped as standard with dust suppression spays and a metal detection system to reduce the chance of tramp metal entering the crushing chamber.
The Doppstadt AK-430K Tracked High-Speed Shredder
The Doppstadt AK-430K is designed and built specifically for both green and wood waste processing, boasting large volume capacities for the cost-effective and efficient chipping and shredding of tree-trunks, roots, pallets and building timber, green and organic waste. The crawler-mounted mobile version on show is both agile and manoeuvrable and can be quickly and easily moved around the site.
A high-speed shredder, the Doppstadt AK-430K has a number of operational, safety and maintenance features. These include remote control; hydraulically folding conveyors for swift set-up time and maximum mobility on restricted sites; large maintenance access doors and centralised lubrication points; patented load sensing material feeding system; easily replaceable flail tips to suit the materials that are to be shredded.
The Powerscreen Warrior 1400 Mobile Screening Plant
The best-selling Warrior 1400 is capable of screening, three-way splitting and stockpiling a wide variety of materials in the most difficult and demanding applications, including face blasted material and crushed stone, construction and demolition debris, muck-away, coal, compost and topsoil. Additionally, the heavy-duty two-bearing screenbox and a large hopper exit opening allow easy handling and processing of overlarge items such as tree stumps, logs and boulders. The Warrior 1400 boasts the usual fast set-up time of around 15 minutes and the rugged low ground pressure tracks on this mobile crawler version give excellent mobility and site agility in spite of its size and optimum output potential of 400 tonnes per hour.
Optional extras on the Warrior 1400 include an apron feeder belt and a Hardox lined screenbox.
Product Support
Ever mindful of the need to provide the best quality after sales care, product support is seen as being of vital importance by the company. Blue Machinery Scotland's sister company Spares UK provides a genuine 24/7 service, with an impressive parts-holding backed by state-of-the-art IT systems for stock control, ordering and expediting.
