Weightron Bilanciai is a leading manufacturer and supplier of industrial weighing equipment and systems. The business is broadly divided into four main business units: weighbridges, process weighing, materials handling and food traceability-recipe formulation. We supply to a broad spectrum of industries from mining and quarrying through to major utilities, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and waste recycling. Waste recycling is a rapidly growing part of Weightron's business and we are currently involved with several major OEM recycling projects.

The range of weighbridges includes pit and surface mounted versions manufactured from steel, steel/concrete composite and concrete. Both portable and fixed installations are available for purchase, lease or hire. Driver-operated versions speed up weighing procedures and allow out-of-hours weighing. Our WinWeigh software package offers important operational benefits including user configuration, remote data management and ERP integration. The SafeWeigh radiation detection system is designed to prevent costly contamination in recycling plants, ports and terminals. Other peripherals include electronic signature capability and automatic number plate recognition systems (ANPR). In addition to weighbridges, products include mobile weighing systems, crane scales, axle weighers, platform scales and silo weighing systems. An extensive service and support program is provided both for our own and other manufacturers' equipment. The Telemaintenance package allows remote monitoring and configuration of weighbridges.

Weightron have recently introduced their Smart-Weigh concept which brings a new dimension to weighing and sets new standards for system versatility and integration. It offers multiple weighbridge users a cost effective, unified digital solution for their different analogue weighbridges. Smart-Weigh is a unique blend of software and hardware, providing a cost effective and versatile solution for operators, irrespective of the weighbridge type or make.

At the 'ground level', a high performance weights and measures approved digital 'black box' converts any analogue weighbridge into a fully digital system, where each load cell output is individually monitored and measured. Connectivity from the weighbridge is via a bi-directional serial link to a weight indicator fitted with an Ethernet communications card. The weight indicator is not part of the 'approved' measurement chain and can therefore be changed or modified without the need to re-verify the system.

At management level' the Weightron Connect universal software package provides the ultimate in flexibility, user-friendliness and security. Depending on the available network (LAN or WAN), the software can reside on a local or remote PC and each weighbridge can be allocated its own dedicated IP address. The software is configured so that operators communicate with the IP addresses of the particular weighbridges via a standard web browser and weighing operations from up to four different scales can be viewed on screen at any one time.

In 2003 Weightron Bilanciai increased its UK coverage with two strategic acquisitions.

Parker Weighing Systems/Parker Farm Brands will ensure Weightron continue to be a dominant supplier in the agricultural sector, while the acquisition of Taunton based Westco Weighing gives the company an important strategic sales and service centre in south west England.

In 2005 Weightron Bilanciai purchased Stelomain Weighing in Stanstead Abbotts thereby increasing the company's service coverage in the Home Counties and Southern England.

In October 2005 a 500K manufacturing extension was officially opened, significantly increasing Weightron Bilanciai's weighbridge production capabilities and firmly establishing the company as the UK's leading weighbridge manufacturer.
