Established in 2002 NIROX Ltd has delivered heavy duty rotary grizzlies from a far a field as Ireland to the UAE to Australia. One of the largest trommels in the world, the RG 902, is processing material for The World & Palm Projects in Dubai.

NIROX Ltd is committed to bringing the superior design, engineering and performance of our heavy duty trommels to the mine & quarry industry.

All NIROX manufactured products are built with precision engineering, to provide the finest quality machinery available in this specialised sector. The robust versatility of the heavy duty trommel range allows our customers to process and clean large size stone at high volumes with maximum up time.

Mobile Heavy Duty Rotary Grizzly Range

The proven NIROX range of tracked heavy duty rotary grizzlies is designed for high screening performance combined with good mobility. Their excellent capacity and easy adaptability to different sizing & cleaning processes guarantee suitability for a wide range of quarrying and mining applications.

The TRG 403 track-mounted machine has a heavy duty chassis and proven components to give long service life in most demanding jobs. With the TRG, you can choose flexibly and accurately the end products to be sized. The 3 folding on board conveyors allows the customer to produce and stockpile a fine, middle and oversize product at a capacity of up to 400 tph. The addition of an optional hydraulic tipping grid over the hopper means 4 products can be separated on the same unit.

The WRG 302 wheel-mounted unit is designed to guarantee superior mobility on wheels and the ability to produce multiple end products with constant, high capacity. When the machine arrives on site it is raised to its operating position on its own jacks, and folding collapsible chutes drop down to create load out bay thus eliminating the need for conveyors.

The design of these units allows the user to travel over roadways without special permits and set up the rotary grizzly in minutes once on site.

Static Heavy Duty Rotary Grizzly Range

This bespoke range of machinery is capable of handling 1.5 cu metre pieces of stone at a rate of over 1000 tph. The RG range is designed with a robust 50 tonne hopper (expandable to 90 tonnes with optional hopper extensions) with reciprocating feed plate, capable of receiving loads from large mining trucks.

A variable-speed reciprocating hydraulic plate feed table, which is supported on rollers beneath the feed hopper, feeds material into the barrel via a hydraulic ram that can be adjusted to the required tonnage of between 500 tph and 1000 tph.

The 2.3 metre diameter barrel (made up of three 4 metre long segments) is manufactured from high-grade steel bars welded to form segments, which are bolted together. The apertures are made to suit individual customer requirements.
The barrel is supported on four rollers, and driven by a chain on a full size sprocket ring. The barrel's rpm is fully adjusted to suit the type of material that is being fed to the trommel to ensure optimum cleaning of clay contamination and high moisture content materials at all times.

The dirt or fines in the feed are discharged through the first barrel segment, while the clean rock travels down to be graded by the different apertures in the barrel. Oversize, which can be lump sizes of 1500 mm, are discharged through the end of the barrel.
Ideal for producing rip rap (amour stone) and gabion for dam & levy construction, coastal defence and land reclamation projects, the RG range sizes up to 4 stone products plus an oversize product three dimensionally.

Traditionally large scalping grids have been used for each size of product required which is a slow and labour intensive mean of producing such products. The RG allows the customer to cut down on re-handling as well as making a significant reduction in the overall working footprint for the stone operation.
