Skako Comessa Ltd was established over 20 years ago, and is part of The Skako Comessa Group, one of the largest European Vibration Engineering organisations, with companies in Denmark, France, Sweden and Germany, as well as the UK.
Within the UK, Skako are the market leaders in the supply of vibratory feeders to the quarrying and associated industries, and additionally supply specialist screening and washing equipment.
Skako supply a complete range of vibratory feeders and expertise, offering two distinct methods of construction, and three methods of vibratory drive, allowing the optimum feeder solution to be recommended.
The class leading and renowned SKAKO modular feeder still remains the most popular choice, whereby the feeder trough is supplied complete with a flanged inlet hopper section with integral skirt plates, bed depth regulation gate and helical coil support springs connecting the trough to the static inlet section. This means that the end user needs only to prepare a matching flange at the bottom of his hopper/chute/silo and bolt the feeder directly to it. This allows SKAKO to have total control over the bin bottom area and therefore accept total responsibility for the correct extraction of the feed material.
Type FCE - Electro-magnetic driven feeders.
Electro-magnetic driven feeders are especially suitable for applications with high levels of proportioning accuracy, an infinite feed range is required, automation requirements are at their highest, and also where frequent and immediate stop / starts are required. These feeders are in the light to medium duty range, generally handling material less than 200mm in size, between 0-500TPH.
Type FCU - Twin unbalanced motor driven feeders.
Unbalanced motor driven feeders cover a wide operating range, and are generally utilised within the capacity range of 100-1000TPH, but capacities up to and exceeding 2000TPH are also possible. This type of feeder is extremely versatile and robust, and can easily cope with differing headloads, variable quality feed material, and even impact loadings.
Type FCD/FGD - Mechanical vibrator driven feeders and grizzly feeders.
For heavy duty applications requiring feeding or feeding with pre-screening we offer feeders & grizzly feeders which are of compressed fit bolted construction giving a stress-free design, usually driven by synchronous geared exciters powered by normal industrial electric motors (although hydraulic drives can also be used). These feeders are designed to handle mined and blasted materials, and being subjected to severe impact loadings. They normally operate within the capacity range of 1000-3000TPH, and individual rock sizes of up to 2000mm can be handled.
Washing Screening & Dewatering Plant.
Screening - Each Skako Comessa screen is custom designed to suit the specific application, and the optimum solution is carefully selected from three construction methods, and three alternative drive systems. For light duty screening duties, a fully welded construction with single unbalanced motor drive can be utilised. For the traditional inclined scalping screens, a central unbalanced vibrator shaft drive is used, giving an elipical motion, and having an integral automatic lubrication system. For the heaviest duty horizontal screens and grizzly scalping units, single or multiple exciters are utilised, allowing units with an individual weight of 45Tonne to be constructed. Skako Comessa have manufactured double deck inclined screens up to 3metre wide x 10metre long.
Washing Drum - The Skako Comessa ‘De-Mudding’ Washing Drum is a classically simple piece of process equipment, yet highly efficient and cheap and easy to maintain. The system has been developed over many years, resulting in the most optimized drum for the removal of mud and other waste materials, and additionally for washing out and recovery of required minerals eg. Phosphate & clay. Capacities normally range from 80tph to 650tph.
