Part of the IMS Group, with revenues of €727m (2009) and sales, distribution and processing in 17 European countries, IMS UK has more than 100 years of specialist knowledge within the steel industry. We offer full material selection and technical support to provide cost effective solutions to complex applications and are LRQA 9001:2000 approved.

Stock Profile
IMS UK supplies material from accredited European steel mills such as Dillinger Hütte, Ruukki, Industeel, Duferco and Corus, which when coupled with our established mill relationships, ensures that IMS UK has a comprehensive stock profile of specialist abrasion and high yield steels available at all times. IMS UK supply materials from 40,000 tonnes of stock, either directly or from within the European Group ranging in thicknesses from 3mm to 150mm.

The fully certified abrasion resistant range comprises standard 400 and 500 brinell grades, 11- 14% manganese, as well as the more specialised Creusabro 4800 and
8000 materials. Duretal 35 offers even higher performance in certain applications and for high strength and weight saving applications our high yield steels such as S690 QL are also available.

Our comprehensive portfolio includes recognized brand names such as CREUSABRO, Dillidur, Dillimax, ROC, IMEX, ABRACORR, DURETAL and BIMETAL.

IMS UK is the exclusive European distributor of Creusabro 4800, a special grade of abrasion resistant steel plate that combines resistance to abrasion, together with a high level of toughness. IMS UK now offers screens and wearparts designed and fabricated to your requirements in this exclusive high performance material which extends the wearlife of screens by between 50% and 100% compared with those manufactured with conventional 400 and 500 HM material.

Processing and Services
IMS UK has established in-house manufacturing and processing facilities supported by CAD/CAM design and SolidWorks software with an experienced and dedicated workforce ensuring precision manufactured components and product processing from a readily available steel stock. Processing services alongside professional technical knowledge and support include:
