Environmental Management 
As environmental management has been a key issue Fuchs Lubricants can offer their unique, national, specialist environmental waste management programme which provides an industry specific tailored collection of all waste streams. Their new programme not only meets but now exceeds current environmental legislation providing a cost-effective environmental package.
Clean Solutions will effectively manage the waste disposal requirements of vehicle, plant and other mechanical equipment workshops, as well as garages.

All these operations create waste products, which now have to be disposed of in a controlled, environmentally sensitive manner. Clean Solutions comes in one single package, which allows the customer to consolidate his various waste disposal contracts into one single contract.
Clean Solutions is tailored to meet individual customer requirements, providing the benefits of a fully compliant waste collection service for a fixed monthly fee. This service provides a single source waste disposal for waste oil, antifreeze, oil filters, mixed fuels,
oily rags, solvents, absorbents and granules, waste batteries, paints, varnishes and thinners.

The programme offers a 365 day service where as the Clean Solutions computer will automatically generate collection on an as needed basis, including a 24 hour emergency helpline.

As part of the Clean Solutions package a Fuchs area manager conducts an initial survey and based on this visit will provide appropriate expert advice on all aspects of waste and the environment including environmental safety, storage and handling, HSSE and COSHH. In addition the company can also provide relevant environmental training for customers’ staff.

Biodegradable Lubricants
Since the 1970’s, FUCHS has gathered a wealth of experience with all types of biodegradable lubricants and functional fluids, working with end users and universities to develop the PLANTO range of products.
PLANTO lubricants are based on naturally occurring plant and rapeseed oils, which make them harmless to the environment and cleaner for the operative to use.

The technical properties of these products are equal to normal mineral oil based products and, in some characteristics, even show an improvement offering industrial end users benefits through lower consumption, rationalisation of product mix, excellent corrosion protection and reduced environmental and health and safety concerns.

PLANTO has found recent success in the UK, where it has been used in the construction of an Education Resource Centre at the Eden Project in Cornwall.
