Sandvik Mining and Construction is rightly seen as one of the world's leading providers of equipment and solutions for mineral-exploration, surface and underground mining, bulk-materials handling and environmental restoration. The all encompassing product range offer solutions for many applications in the construction industry, including surface rock excavation, tunneling, demolition, recycling and road rehabilitation.

The range of products includes rock tools, drilling rigs, loaders and trucks, crushing and screening machinery and bulk-materials handling systems. Today, Sandvik Mining and Construction employs approximately 16,800 men and women and has operations in more than 130 countries. 

In the spring of 2007 Sandvik acquired two British manufacturers of mobile crushing and screening equipment: Extec Screens and Crushers Ltd near Birmingham, England and Fintec Crushing and Screening Ltd close to Belfast, Northern Ireland. As leaders in the design and manufacture of mobile crushing and screening equipment, Extec and Fintec have allowed Sandvik to add mid-size and light equipment to its customer offering, thereby positioning it to become an even stronger supplier in a rapidly growing industry.

The biggest customer advantages of bringing Fintec and Extec together under Sandvik are its global presence; in particular worldwide distribution, and improved aftermarket support. Extec and Fintec also benefit from Sandvik's global resources and technical know-how as Sandvik brings advanced crusher and screener product technology combined with excellent process knowledge.

Mobile crushing equipment has come a long way in the last ten years as what used to be impossible to achieve with mobile equipment is now possible.

Sandvik has chosen to unify its mobile crusher and screen range under a single brand, signified by new model nomenclature and machine colours.

Heavy range

The Sandvik range of heavy duty crushers combines high mobility with ultra high productivity, without the loss of flexibility of operation. Primarily developed for mineral processing in the quarrying, aggregate and surface mining industries, they have now proved their worth in the construction industry processing secondary and recycled aggregate.

Although fully capable of operating independently, all heavy duty crushers have been designed to work together in order to produce multiple products from a single crusher run. With a high level of automation and excellent interlocking characteristics, one or more units may be controlled by a single operator.

Now married to state of the art high production tracked screening systems, the Sandvik heavy range encompasses a one stop solution for the truly serious crushing and screening operator.

Mid-range mobiles

The Sandvik mid-range of tracked crushers and screens provide an extensive mobile crushing and screening solution. This range has been proved throughout the world in a variety of conditions, providing customers with solutions in quarrying, surface mining, demolition and construction applications.

Developed with the end users real requirements very much in mind, Sandvik crushers and screens can be found operating in quarrying applications dealing with such material as granite and limestone, construction projects processing concrete and asphalt, and ensuring the world's resources are maximised in a demolition or recycling environment.
