A brief History
1975
CEPCOR LIMITED is founded to import manganese steel castings into the United Kingdom, for sale to the leading original equipment manufacturers of crushing plant, as well as some of the leading quarry groups.
Sales grow based on a reputation for the supply of a quality product at competitive prices, leading to the establishment of a central warehouse in Rugby to reduce lead times.
Subsequent to the first receivership of a major equipment manufacturer, CEPCOR is
directed into the end-user market.
1989
Crusher Manganese Steels Ltd was founded to service the needs of quarry operators in their requirements for manganese wearing parts. It was recognised at the outset that the majority of crusher operators required castings at very short notice and with this in mind the company quickly established ties with leading foundries and began to hold large stocks of manganese castings.
1994
CRUSHER MANGANESE STEELS LIMITED expands its range acknowledging that there was a great demand, not only for wear parts, but also precision machined internal parts which facilitated the move to larger premises to accommodate its increasing stocks
1998
The company erected a purpose built workshop to service the growing requirement for machine repairs and refurbishments.
2004
CRUSHER MANGANESE STEELS LIMITED celebrates 15 years of service to the quarry, recycling & demolition industries worldwide and re-brands as ‘CMS'.
CMS also become the leading genuine alternative supplier of asphalt plant spares,
screen spares & service.
2005
In January, Crusher Manganese Steels purchased CEPCOR, a former competitor, whose product range, stock and experienced personnel complimented the CMS portfolio of
products and services making CMS-CEPCOR Europe's largest stockist of Crusher,
Asphalt & Screen replacement components. Extensive workshop facilities, technical support & on-site services now enable CMS-CEPCOR to offer the complete solution for customers worldwide.
2006
CMS-CEPCOR now offer Genuine GOODWIN BARSBY Spares, Service and Technical Support for the entire Goodwin product line including the rugged & reliable well known brand names GOLIATH, ACME, BLAKE, AJAX, HARD ROCK CUBER & VITEX.
